Lake Worth West Community Center has many programs for babies, preschoolers and their families.

As one of 10 sites for the BRIDGES program, funded by Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County, our goals are to:

  • Increase healthy births, prevent and reduce child abuse and neglect;
  • Prepare children so they are ready to learn when they start school; and
  • Have children be at grade level by the time they reach third grade.

In addition, as part of the initiative, we provide parent/child programming including Triple P, parenting workshops, and school readiness assistance, as well as help with signing up for Medicaid, food stamps and other financial assistance available for our residents.

On top of that, we have interactive activities such as story time for the children to develop their socialization, listening and language skills.

ASQ-3 Screening is also available to help identify children who may be developmentally delayed and to assist parents with child-parent involvement and education.
